Cristela Alonzo

  Cristela Alonzo (born 1977/1978) is a American actor, comedian as well as writer and producer who created and starred in the ABC sitcom Cristela. It was her first Latina woman to create and produce, write, and star in her own US primetime comedy.



 



 Early life



 Alonzo was born in San Juan, Texas. He is the youngest of four children. His mother Natalia Gonzalez worked double shifts at an Mexican restaurant for more than 20 years and his father Adalberto Alonzo were both Mexican. Alonzo was the child of a mother and father who were violent. Alonzo's mother left her husband and left her children in the care of their father. Alonzo explained that she had never seen her father, and that he died in 2009.
